[HIP HOP] After a nifty stint with the fine folks at the Epitaph/Anti- family of record labels, the ever poetic Sage Francis has come full circle, back to his indie hop roots, once again releasing his music via his own Strange Famous imprint. The added exposure definitely helped his career, though: his self-released sixth disc, Copper Gone (2014) pierced the Billboard 200 and landed in iTunes’ hip-hop top five. He drops into Buffalo to share his disgruntled perspective at the Waiting Room on Saturday, October 17. It’s the tail end of a string of nearly 90 shows this year, dubbed “The Going Through Hell Tour.” TR38CHO, Frigid Giant, and Son Scott will perform in support.
