[LIT] Perhaps the greatest boxing champion Buffalo ever produced is the subject of Rich Blake’s definitive 400-page biography. A product of turn-of-the-century Old First Ward, Jimmy Slattery won the light heavyweight crown in 1927. He drank as hard as fought, however, burning both bright and quick. Blake will be reading from and talking about Slats this Thursday in Larkin Square.
