[JAZZ] An accomplished trio of improv-ready musicians visit the Backroom of Allen Street Hardware this Friday. With jazz vet Tom Rainey on drums, Ingrid Laubrock on saxophone, and Mary Halvorson on guitar, the trio puts together makes what jazz critic Josef Woodard called “a refreshing new and not-sentimental kind of beautiful music,” one that is primed for improvisation and experimentation. The performance is presented by Hallwalls.
