[HIP HOP] Hip hop duo Blackalicious have not had the most prolific career, though they’ve been around for about 20 years. Instead, they’ve slowly and steadily released a string of high-quality hip hop records, on which they’ve worked with talents that range from DJ Shadow and Cut Chemist, to Zack de la Rocha and  Gil Scott-Heron on albums like 2002’s Blazing Arrow. Their upcoming album, Imani Vol. 1, to be released on September 18, will be their first since 2002’s The Craft. Blackalicious come to the Studio at the Waiting Room on Saturday, August 29 with New Breed Brass Band, Short Moscato & Death Picnic, and Lucky Seven.
