Van Halen
[ROCK] It must be weird to show up and play on a stage every night when feelings of animosity are permanently part of the chemistry, but sports teams seem to manage. Van Halen is on the road this summer supporting a new live disc from Tokyo and some classic reissues—there’s even talk of a new studio album to follow. David Lee Roth continues to showboat and the Van Halen brothers continue to shake their heads—but the fans continue showing up in droves. Who knows, maybe the tension is what propels them along.
