[PSYCH  FOLK] Five years ago, Julie Byrne was cutting her teeth performing intimate shows in DIY Buffalo venues, sitting on the floor with a guitar among candles and opening her vocal folds full enough to fill a room with something somehow softer and more intimate than singing. She’s kinda made it in the music biz since, which means she’s been largely transient, blazing a trail of recordings, shows, and part-time jobs in whatever city will have her. Her latest record Not Even Happiness is her follow-up to 2014’s acclaimed Rooms Without Walls and Windows, and she’ll be performing at Silo City alongside the brilliant sonic songwriter Lara Buckley and the sharp, witty poetry of Noah Falck this Friday.
