Treasure Fingers

[ELECTRONIC/DANCE] “This one goes out to all the funky people,” a voice announces toward the beginning of Treasure Fingers’ latest mix for Splash House. The funky people of Buffalo are well advised to attend what should be the peak of Sky Bar’s summer rooftop concert series this Friday, July 24 when the hailed house music producer brings his round, bassy booty-house tracks to the dance floor. His latest Splash House mix is a good starting point for those unfamiliar with Treasure Fingers, but those who’ve been paying attention probably noticed the Atlanta-based producer after the release of his 2008 Fool’s Gold Records debut single, “Cross the Dance Floor,” which was famously remixed by Canadian electro-funk duo Chromeo. Treasure Fingers has very obviously evolved from his funky electro roots into one of the most sought after bassline house music producers of the moment, churning out highly pressurized cuts like his latest, “Koolaid.” The first single from his new label, Psycho Disco, “Koolaid” is likely to induce some involuntary head bobbing when he inevitably drops the sizzling cut at Sky Bar this weekend for what will surely be an exciting night for electronic music fans in Buffalo. Local favorites Eyes Everywhere open the show presented by Factory Nightlife.
