[INDIE] Indie rock band Lord Huron may be based out of Los Angeles but their soul resides over the foggy waters of Lake Huron. It was on the Michigan shores of Lake Huron that frontman Ben Schneider divined the intense character of Lord Huron’s darkly sparkling indie folk music. Accompanied by a series of Western-styled music videos, the band’s first LP, Lonesome Dreams, set the four-piece on a journey through rivers and windy canyons with smoldering guitars and booming drums on songs like “Brother.” In early 2015, the band followed up their 2012 debut with a logical sequel titled Strange Trails, which, ironically revisited some familiar sounding trails for the band, cementing their signature anthological approach to writing instantly classic indie folk songs. Lord Huron will come to the Town Ballroom on Tuesday, July 28 with Widowspeak.
