[EDUCATIONAL] If you find yourself intrigued by solar energy and solar power but don’t know much about it, PUSH Buffalo, The Wash Project, and Ujima Theater would like to help answer your questions. On Saturday, July 11, PUSH Buffalo will launch Solar Jam, an event that aims to commemorate the launch of the new Solar Program at the Massachusetts Avenue Park, as well as educate people on the possibilities of solar energy. The event will feature Ruben Brown from the Buffalo Bills (1pm) and provide an opportunity for folks to take a guided tour of PUSH Buffalo’s Winter Street project houses, which have solar arrays installed. Solar LIberty, a distributor of solar energy components, will be on hand to answer any questions about the systems. DJ Milk and the Buffalo Afrobeat Orchestra will provide entertainment while the West Side Bazaar provides food, including smoothies made with a solar-powered blender.
