The Public Picnic

[PICNIC] If you didn’t attend the first Public Picnic (shame on you!), expect a safe space to speak your mind and/or ask any questions you have. For our next installment, next Wednesday, July 15 underneath the Cottonwood tree at Silo City (it will happen indoors on site if it rains), D.O.P.E. Collective will have a table with information, and the picnic will be anchored by a piece from Pure Ink Poetry’s Lazyrus and Solomon Dixon. Afterwards we will use the performance as a lens through which to discuss perceived bias vs. actual racist acts. After the discussion there will be a new dance choreographed by Angela Lopez. Feel free to bring your own refreshments, lawn chairs, or blankets, and prepare to engage in an enriching discussion.
