[JAZZ] The John Lehning Sextet will spend the evening covering the smooth jazz hits of Buffalonian Grover Washington Jr. on Friday, July 1 at the Pausa Art House. Washington’s influence on the genre was prominent. He is considered the father of smooth jazz and was behind some of the greatest hits throughout the 1970s and 1980s including “Mister Magic” and “Winelight.” In keeping with the evening of homage towards Buffalo’s jazz notoriety, Buffalo’s Bobby Militello will feature on the saxophone. Robert Araujo will join the group from Syracuse on the piano with special guest, Alex McArthur, providing the vocals. The concert begins at 8 pm and admission is $7.
