While this thing known as the 20th century has pushed German heritage celebrations into the background of public life, events like Wurstfest in the newly remodeled River Fest Park along Ohio Street are bringing time-honored German-American traditions of Bier-drinking and Wurst-eating back into the fore. With Spar’s sausage and McCarthy’s Old First Ward Brewing Company’s selection of brews along with music from Die Ausländers and raffles, games, and prizes, Wurstfest might be the best thing you can do this Sunday, June 28.
