[DANCE] Verve Dance Studio is presenting their Funkraiser to raise funds for the relocation of their dance studio, which they are being forced to vacate after 12 years of serving the community as Buffalo’s only dance school dedicated to teaching the art of Bboying and hip hop culture. Over the years, they have gained a significant following, which includes the 500 to one thousand kids and young adults they serve each month through their programming and events.

Owner Shane Depree Fry and Verve’s Differential Flava Crew welcome you to a fun-filled night of music, dancing, tasty treats, and more. DJs Shane & Tone, along with Forrest “Getum” Gump (NYC) will be spinning records for all attendees’ groove pleasure and the dance floor will be open to everyone. Live funk band The Groove Distillers will also be performing at the event. There will be light fare provided by local restaurants Ashkers, Lomo Lomo, and Merge.

Come be a part of one of the last events held at Verve’s original home (not the actual last event because there will be one more Battle at Buffalo on Saturday, June 24 at 7pm). The studio will be asking for a $10-20 donation at the door. This event takes place on Saturday, June 10 starting at 7pm and goes until 1am, and is for ages 21+.
