[EMO] Benson, Minnesota trio Tiny Moving Parts gets big points for disrupting the emo template. Largely considered an emo band at the core, TMP evolves considerably on the brand new Celebrate, out May 20 on the Triple Crown label. While there’s a hearty helping of woe-is-me sadness and anxiety to snack on, there’s also a fairly wide range of emotions expressed on the disc, which still showcases the mathy, progressive penchant that separates the familially-based band from its peers. Celebrate the new release, Tuesday, May 31 at The Waiting Room with Alleys, Free Throw, and Prawn.
