[ROCK] If you like your rock to have a classic, southern-fried feel with a metallic tinge, Monster Truck is definitely for you. Out this past February, Sittin’ Heavy is the Ontario-based outfit’s second studio album, the follow-up to 2013’s Furiosity, which won a Juno (Canadian Grammy) for Breakthrough Group of the Year. Funky hybrids and innovative energy it’s not—and that’s just fine when we’re talking about a band that makes so much with such a basic set of tools. Rock isn’t dead; it’s alive and well in Hamilton, Ontario. Sometimes a rebellious, motorbike and denim, guitar-driven thrill ride is all you need. Saturday, May 28, at Town Ballroom with Handsome Jack and Malarchuk.
