Jody Watley featuring Shalamar Reloaded

[POP] Ranked by Billboard Magazine as the 21st most successful dance artist of all time, and also a recipient of that publication’s coveted Lifetime Achievement Award, Jody Watley got started in music as one of the founding members of the group Shalamar—a project overseen, in part, by late Soul Train host, Don Cornelius. Shalamar Reloaded, which will appear at the Bear’s Den in the Seneca Niagara Casino on Friday, May 26, is a newly launched version of the trio, famed for hit singles like “Second Time Around” and “A Night to Remember.” Watley has made clear that Reloaded isn’t a reunion, but rather a new version of the group, and it features choreographer Rosero McCoy and Ohio native Nate Allen Smith. For these shows, both her solo material and songs from the original Shalamar catalog will be featured.
