[R&B] When the balls descended on New Edition, Bobby Brown went chasing after Whitney Houston while Ricky Bell, Michael Biv and Ronnie Devoe formed this vocal group at the then-busy intersection of hip-hop and R&B, helping usher the “new jack swing” hybrid onto the mainstream pop charts. For this 1990’s focused revue at the Seneca Niagara Casino Events Center, BBD will be joined by new jack pioneers Guy, plus the ladies of En Vogue, who are prepping the release of the their first disc in thirteen years, Electric Café, (the lead single, “Déjà vu,” is hot). Also performing will be SWV who, you may recall, sold 25 million records, buoyed by tracks like “Weak” and “Right Here,” the latter of which got famously mashed-up with MJ’s “Human Nature.” Travel back to a 1990’s groove and kick it like a MAD TV dancer on Saturday, May 27.
