[COMEDY] “I bring the ruckus to the ladies,” so said the character, Leon Black to Larry David on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm. Leon’s tidbits of advice and shameless one-liners became high points of the show, surpassing even David’s own dialogue. JB Smoove is Leon, and he’s bringing that fast-talking wit and hilarity to the Helium Comedy Club on Thursday, May 21 through Sunday, May 24. Citing Louis C.K. as one of his earliest supporters, Smoove’s break into acting came in 2001, when he starred in C.K.’s cult favorite, Pootie Tang. His film, television, and writing credits are extensive, including working with renowned comics Adam Sandler and Chris Rock, and writing for Saturday Night Live from 2003 through 2005 before unleashing Leon.
