[ROCK] Though the title of Needtobreathe’s new album, Hardlove, might sound sordid or tawdry, there’s a much more innocent, positive message than one would suppose from title alone. The Carolina-based Christian hard rock band, is of course referring to one’s love for God in the album’s title and title track, not some messy affair or sexual encounter. Which might turn out to be refreshing to many fans of Christian rock, or even just rock music in general, as the lyrical content and message is primarily focused on fighting one’s own demons and sticking to a life calling through difficult times. Needtobreathe comes to the Rapids Theatre on Saturday, May 13. $1 for each day of show-sold ticket will go to OneWorld Health an organization that helps to advance healthcare in East Africa and Central America.
