[BIKE] Slow Roll are opening their season in a big way. The weekly bicycle tour will launch their season from the Marcy Casino at Hoyt Lake for a ride down the Scajaquada Expressway and through Humboldt Parkway. The ride is at least partly an statement of activism to “right size” the Scajaquada and Kensington Expressways to “restore Olmsted’s vision for our city in order to re-knit our community back together,” according to the group’s Facebook page, but it’s also a once-in-a-lifetime chance to safely bike down these usually restricted roadways. And rest assured it will be safe, as the ride will be accompanied by a Buffalo Police Department motorcade. Take a ride on the Slow Roll this Sunday, May 8 at noon.
