I don’t know what Math the Band is. Nobody does, in fact, because how could you? This is a band whose most recent release is a song titled “Shark Attack II” and is a spastic synth punk cover of that song that blares from the ice cream truck down the street. The song, which is the one and only track on their album Now That’s What I Call Ragtime, is available to stream for free on Bandcamp, but it’s $100 if you want to buy a copy of the MP3. And, actually, to call them Math the Band is deceiving because Math the Band is no longer playing shows. What we have here is technically Math the Band the Band, a six piece version of Math the Band.
