[PUNK] Feeling burnt out but still like your music loud and dirty? Low attention span? S.L.I.P. is for you! The Pittsburgh hardcore band’s latest release Slippy When Wet, out now on the Raleigh, North Carolina-based record label Sorry State Records, sounds like Black Flag fell ass backwards into a cup of coffee brewed by The Descendents, but like, with solos. Sometimes they get into some doomy riffage, but that’s usually vetoed pretty quickly by frantic punk drumage. To sum it up, it’s pretty solid hardcore punk with a spark of metal and we’re pretty sure it’s even better live. Catch S.L.I.P with The Drains, Nicky Reynolds and his Pushers, and Love Pink at Dreamland this Friday, April 14.
