[ELECTRONIC/DANCE] Datsik never fails to deliver an intense, loud, and impressive show when he comes to Buffalo—usually one or two times a year. He’ll make his return this Thursday, April 7 at the Town Ballroom, this time with support from new-comer Ookay. Datsik began releasing music in 2009, exploding out of the gate with remixes of Diplo and Wu Tang Clan tracks, and scoring several Beatport number one releases. In 2014 the 27-year-old Canadian musician released his EP, Down 4 My Ninjas, a combination of interstellar dubstep beats and rap (see “Get Smashed” featuring DJ Paul K.O.M. of Three 6 Mafia), and trapezing laser-guided bass drops (“When They Drop”). His latest EP is the equally extragalactic dubstep blast off, Darkstar, which features the likes of grimey rapping from Trinidad James and break beats from Travis Barker.
