You Are in Nearly Every Future
[MULTIMEDIA] Coinciding with the most anticipated spring equinox in Buffalo history, poet and JustBuffalo Education Director Noah Falck is launching his eponymous book-length poem with a hybrid performance assault for two performances this Friday, March 20, at Squeaky Wheel at 6pm and 8pm. Falck’s live reading of the text will be accompanied by layers of audio manicured by Flatsitter with guests Frank Napolski and Jim Abramson. But it doesn’t end there: There will also be a dance performance featuring Liz Bayan under Jax Deluca’s choreography and in costumes supplied by Buffalo’s king of plush, Tommy Nguyen.

What will or will not
let you in. A large percentage of
winter craves the dark. The sky.
A bruise of ghosts in the baby’s first dream.
Some primed rainfall in the changing light
of a foreign city framed. You start off
with everything you need
and then everything happens.
A pack of teenagers storm the alleyway
as an encore. Your mixtape is on repeat
in heaven and in heaven there is only
the right kind of dancing.
