[POETRY] Just Buffalo’s Studio series is back on Friday featuring LA poet Ara Shirinyan, an author of several books—Syria Is in the World, Your Country Is Great (A-G), and Handsome Fish Offices—which explores themes of Islamophobia, war, global commerce, and tourism by appropriating the words used on the internet to often darkly hilarious effect. The Armenia-born Shirinyan will be joined by Toronto-native and current St. Bonaventure faculty Sandy Pool this Friday at 8pm. Pool is an award-winning author with a background in theater.
