Benefit for Jim Wolford

[AMERICANA] A slew of local bands and artist will come together to help a fellow Buffalo-based artist/photographer Jim Wolford, after a bunch of his gear was stolen recently from a local venue. Bands including Flatbed, Shaky Stage, Ten Cent Howl, Dee Adams and A Band, and A Band Named Sue have all donated 40-minute sets to raise funds to replace Wolford’s lost gear. “Jim Wolford has done so much for local music, first as a fan attending shows, but also by taking great photos,” says the event’s organizer Thom Davis who also plays in Flatbed and with Dee Adams. “He’s even hand painted banners that the bands display at shows.  I floated the idea of a benefit, and there was no hesitation to say yes from any the bands.” The night of music begins on Monday, March 21 at the Sportsmen’s Tavern.
