[SOLO] A group of musical talents of a wide variety will come together at Asbury Hall for a unique sort of concert this Friday, March 18. 10 different musical soloists, who will solo on their own respective instruments, will each play two five-minute-long sets of music as part of a fundraiser for musical programming at Hallwalls. Performers include violinist David Adamczyk, saxophonist and turntablist Steve Baczkowski, Ellen Barnum on basson, bassist Juini Booth, Angie Conte aka Sparkle Bomb on electronics, Martin Freeman on synthesizer, flutist Jeannine Giffear, vocalist Esin Gunduz, guitarist Zane Merritt, and percussionist Ravi Padmanabha. The solos will be performed in random order, accompanied by a large “color-coded” projection. This will be the first in a series of solo-based performances that Hallwalls promises will present the solo performer in “unique context and environment.”
