[HIP HOP] 40 year old Christopher Brendan Ward, a.k.a. MC Chris, raised the profile of nerdcore hip-hop, giving voice to a variety of MC that many geeky, irritated white boys have dreamt of becoming (though Ward hasn’t always been a huge fan of the categorization). His oft-comedic meanderings have earned him a devoted, sizeable fan base that gobbles up his prolific output of original material and mixed tapes—and if you haven’t heard him on the mic, you’ve probably heard him voice the part of MC Pee Pants on Adult Swim’s Aqua Teen Hunger Force, a hero of our buddy Meatwad’s. He’ll come to the Studio at the Waiting Room on Friday, March 11 with Nathan Anderson.
