[INDIE] Elevating their piano-driven music with splashes of red, yellow, and blue, come experience Pocket Vinyl this Friday, March 10 at Sugar City. Forming in 2010, this married pair from Connecticut takes DIY to a new level. Wife Elizabeth paints while husband Eric plays the piano; they sell the freshly created paintings to the highest bidder. Currently on their Stick Together and We’ll Be Alright tour, the duo’s act is made more interesting by their “mini-plays” and playful antics. Sharing the stage is Buffalo’s own experimental rock band Child of Folly. Dipping in all genres of music from blues to rap, this group features impressive percussion, soulful strings, and intricate vocals. Loungy blues group Volstead Pearls, genre fusers Redwood Trio, and rock purists Magic Honey are also on the lineup.
