[METAL] Cannibal Corpse are not only icons of death metal, but international representatives of the Buffalo metal scene. Their latest record, 2014’s A Skeletal Domain, entered the Billboard Top 40 the week of its release. Metal Injection called it “everything that a Cannibal Corpse record should and needs to be,” and said that “the album is pure and focused dark and brutal energy.” Despite sporting some relatively toned-down album artwork, the music is still unflinchingly intense. Few metal bands have been as consistent in their sound as Cannibal Corpse has over their 28-year-long career. George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher, who has been the band’s vocalist since 1995, takes the reins again, joined by founding members Alex Webster and Paul Mazurkiewicz, on-again-off-again member Rob Barrett, and long-time guitarist Patrick O’Brien. That’s the line-up that fans will welcome when the band returns to Buffalo for a concert at the Town Ballroom on Friday, February 19. Joining them in support are veteran Florida death metal band Obituary, Montreal death metal band Cryptopsy, L.A.’s Abysmal Dawn,
