Cory Henry & The Funk Apostles

[FUNK] Improvising the best of jazz and gospel, this multi-instrumentalist will send you back into the twangy, soulful, grooves of the south on Wednesday night, February 22 at Buffalo Iron Works. Renowned organ player, Cory Henry got his start at the age of 19 when he traveled with jazz legend, Kenny Garrett for a three year stint, before performing on televisions shows like The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Working with some of the best artists in gospel like Kirk Franklin, Mary Mary, and Robert Glasper, this young musician has an experience worth twice his years. The harmonically rich organ player, who also plays in the band Snarky Puppy, leads his illustrious pack of talented musicians, The Funk Apostles, which includes a bassist, guitarist, drummer, and keyboard player. This Grammy Award-winning musician should not be missed.
