[ROCKABILLY] The semi-legendary cow-punk hybrid trio, The Reverend Horton Heat, led by Jim Heath returns to Buffalo this Thursday, January 29 for a gig at The Tralf. Out supporting Rev, released this time last year on the Victory label, the new disc features a typically amusing single, “Let Me Teach You How to Eat.” Not a whole lot has changed about what these guys do—a nod in the direction of consistency—but with an if it ‘aint broke, don’t mess with it attitude. Expect an upbeat night of rockabilly tweaked in numerous directions, fueled by a slap-happy upright bass and a taste for the absurd, (“Nurture my Pig!,” “Big Red Rocket of Love”). Maybe if we’re lucky, the Reverend Horton and company will bring some of that Texas heat up to WNY with them.
