[DANCE PARTY] The self-proclaimed “hipster dance party,” Dance Yrself Clean, returns to Milkie’s this Saturday, January 21. On the eve of one of the most controversial presidential inaugurations in recent memory, the theme of this party, naturally, is World War III. It’ll probably be funkier than it sounds though, with DJs Tom Burtless, Ben Parsons, Nick Muldoon, Bryan Johnson, and Allison Lavis representing the music of Australia, Canada, the UK, Japan, and the USA, respectively. If you’re wondering what to expect, “Dance Yrself Clean” is of course the title of an LCD Soundsystem record, and since they’re from New York City, Allison Lavis will get to decide if you’ll be hearing their tunes on Saturday. You can also expect some Grimes, Vampire Weekend, and maybe some Jamie XX too. Part of the proceeds of this event will go to the ACLU.
