[COMEDY] I can’t tell if Joe Machi’s website is comically outdated or just outdated. Either way, his big, smiling, wide-eyed face is inviting and odd enough for me to click play on the only video available, despite the comic sans font introducing him. Shuffling in place and holding a drink up in the air, Machi’s style is awkward, yet robotic, a combination that is surprisingly hilarious as he delivers his jokes in a loud monotone voice. His list of TV and film appearances isn’t long, but it doesn’t matter, because this guy is clearly talented in the art of standup. Check him out at Helium Comedy Club where Machi will perform five shows, this Thursday, January 5 through Saturday January 7.
