I first noticed them in the spring when I saw the little plants in the trash ridden patches of dirt near the curb all along Allen street. I wasn’t sure what they were but they were freshly planted. Many became trampled but some survived and grew into beautiful giant sunflower plants. They’re easy to miss with all the visual noise of a busy street. I’m not sure who planted them but they sure offer beauty to this section of town. This photo was taken on the west end of Allen.
