Julie Molenda commented that “with the region’s entrepreneurial spirit rekindled in the midst of an economic renaissance, Western New York is back on the map as a hot spot for innovation and an ideal place to grow a business.” With this being said, now is the time for local entrepreneurs to get involved in Buffalo’s impressive startup scene.

Those interested in applying, potentially engaging with investors, raising capital, acquiring strategic input and resources, and accelerating their business should submit an application along with a one minute video presentation at brightbuffaloniagara.com.

The expo this year will be held at the historic Statler City in downtown Buffalo. Those who apply will be given a one-minute slot to present their business idea. The pitches will be followed by a cocktail reception and entrepreneur tradeshow offering the perfect chance to rub elbows and chat with potential angel and venture capital investors. Over 250 attendees including entrepreneurs, investors, potential partners as well as industry leaders and officials.

2015’s event will feature a keynote address from Daymond John, founder and CEO of FUBU clothing line and co-star of ABC’s reality show “Shark Tank.”

The deadline to submit an application is August 14. Companies interested in sponsorship opportunities should contact Julie Molenda.
