Artists Seen: Michele Agosto

Michele Agosto is a photographer and educator who was born and raised in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan. She received her education from the School of Visual Arts (BFA in photography, 1992), RIT (MST in art education, 1994), and the University at Buffalo (master’s in educational administration, 2003). She began teaching art in Buffalo in 1994 and is currently supervisor of Art Education for Buffalo Public Schools. Her award-winning work as a photographer has been exhibited in a number of area galleries; she currently has pieces on view at the Castellani Art Museum and at Meibohm Fine Arts Gallery.  For more information on her work, visit burchfieldpenney.org


Artists Seen: Photographs of Artists in the 21st Century is an ongoing project by photographer David Moog in partnership with the Burchfield Penney Art Center at SUNY Buffalo State. Moog has set out to make portraits of every self-identified working artist and arts professional in Western New York.
