Stay in the Loop with this week’s LGBT happenings in Western New York presented by Loop Magazine

 THURSDAY MARCH 17
Angelica Ross & “Her Story” Screening
7PM at Evergreen Commons, 262 Georgia St.

Angelica Ross returns to Buffalo for a screening of the groundbreaking new-media YouTube series “Her Story,” about two trans women in Los Angeles who had given up on love when suddenly chance encounters give them hope. Ross will be joined by actress, cowriter and coproducer Jen Richards, and executive producer Katherine Fisher for a discussion after the screening.

 FRIDAY MARCH 18
Ambush #41
5:30PM — 2AM at Central Park Grill, 2519 Main St.

The ladies take over a different local bar every month for this inclusive but lesbian-geared event.  Shevy & The Pulse takes the stage for a free concert and CD release party at 8 p.m., with sets from DJ Rika before and after. Food, drinks, music, darts and dancing, with plenty of street parking.

 SATURDAY MARCH 19
#embraceTheBrunch
11:30AM — 3PM at Merge, 439 Delaware Ave.

Stop in for brunch anytime and help fund educational scholarships for Western New Yorkers committed to equality for the LGBT community. The restaurant will donate 10 percent of the day’s brunch sales to embraceWNY, and it all leads up to the organizations premier fundraiser of the year, The 20th Anniversary Buffalo Brunch, on April 24.

 TUESDAY MARCH 22
A Night OUT: Celebrating With LGBT Friends
6 — 8PM at The Establishment, 5110 Main St.

Adulting has never been so chic, thanks to a new project by MassMutual. The Establishment combines classy food and drinks with classes on financial planning. But for this open house event, it’s all about the networking. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres from Giancarlo’s on the house and an open bar for all attendees. The event is free, but RSVP under the events tab at theestablishmentbuffalo.com.
