Artists Seen: Andrea Mancuso

Andrea Mancuso is a media and installation artist, educator, and arts administrator. A Buffalo native, she received a BA from SUNY Buffalo in 1989 and an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1993. She and her collaborator Peter D’Auria have worked together as the duo “virocode” since the 1980s, creating video- and photography-based projects exploring the intersection of art and science that have been presented throughout the US and Europe. Artists Seen: Photographs of Artists in the 21st Century is an ongoing project by photographer David Moog in partnership with the Burchfield Penney Art Center at SUNY Buffalo State.
