Just like the original four, but with maybe slightly more makeup, Zepparella is an all-female foursome who recreates the magic of Led Zeppelin on a nightly basis. The group has been around now for a few years and they don’t fall short in any regard.

[LITERARY] The Earth’s Daughters Gray Hair series will be presenting Lorna Hill and Trudy Stern at Hallwalls on Wednesday, March 11. Hill is a poet, playwright, teacher, and actress in addition to being the founder and Artistic Director of the Ujima Theatre Company. Hill also produced and hosted for WNED’s Uncrowned Queens: Voices of African American Women documentary comprised of three portraits of African American women community builders. Her solo performance appearances are rare and should not be missed.

Second Fridays & The Burchfield
[ART] Take advantage of this opportunity and visit the Burchfield Penney Art Center for free on Friday. The museum will be free all day from 10am-8pm, so you can take your time and enjoy the multiple exhibits currently on view. There is also a wonderful café with homemade delicious lunch specials, and they serve a nice variety of beer and wine. Festivities begin at 5:30pm with live music by Barbara Levy Daniels. You can also stop into their Art Making Workshop in the studio classroom.
Fun-A-Day
[ART] Come out this Thursday, March 12 for the inaugural show at Sugar City’s new space on Niagara. Fun-A-Day is a large group show consisting of over 30 local artists, who each made a creative project everyday in the month of February. Organized by Curtis Guy, here is a short list of participating artists: Dana Saylor, Mickey Harmon, Ryan Crowley, Suzanne Eberhardt, Alana Kelley, Gerald Mead, Ani Hoover, Emily Churco and Matthew Clinton Sekellick. This is just the tip of the iceberg for this stellar list of creatives.
