Chris Cuomo Dismantles Chris Collins

CNN’s Chris Cuomo interviewed cross-examined Congressman Chris Collins over Donald Trump’s outrageous and unconscionable attacks on a judge overseeing one of the Trump University fraud cases. This was expertly done and truly leaves Mr. Collins looking not just foolish, but juvenile — he is truly reduced to the mean-spirited schoolyard bully he is, and it is glorious to see.

The Wastelands

[THEATER] Silo City will host the traveling performance group The Wastelands during their three day stay in Buffalo. The group is a project of the Minnesota based Children of the Wild traveling cinematic and theatrical ensemble and uses visuals, music and kinesthetic poetry to produce an “experimental folk opera” that is loosely based on Dante’s Purgatorio.

Beertavia

[BEER] Breweries from across the state will appear with some of their best creations at the 2nd Annual Craft Beer Festival in Batavia’s downtown Business Improvement District. The event will draw a handful of microbreweries throughout Western New York, including 42 North Brewing, Big Ditch Brewing Co., Community Beer Works, CB Craft Brewers, Four Mile Brewing, Resurgence, Ommegang and Ellicottville Brewing Co., winner of last year’s “Brew of the Year” award for its famous Blueberry Wheat Beer.

Worthy

[ELECTRONIC/DANCE] Since 2007, future-house producer Worthy has released dozens of records, but it wasn’t until 2014 that he released his first full-length, Disbehave, on his own label, Anabatic Records. The album was a success, but what was more successful still were the series of remix compilations which followed, featuring artists like Kevin Knapp, Pezzner, Will Clarke, and ADMN.

Strange Allure Volume 4: Erika and BMG

[ELECTRONIC/DANCE] For this edition of Strange Allure, the monthly-ish underground techno dance party, the collective will welcome a couple of up-trending DJs from Detroit. Both artists, Erika and BMG, are integral parts of the Detroit-based label Interdimensional Transmissions—a deeply strange techno label that has, for its 20-odd years of existence, focused on cryptic symbology and metaphysical experiences.

Sam Pace

[ROCK] “We play Rock n’ Roll smooth and dirty, Soul music mean, and we’re not afraid to get a little weird,” says Sam Pace, a rock and roller who hails from Austin, Texas. With his band the Gilded Grit, Pace has released a several records including 2014’s The Rapture. On this tour, it’s safe to expect that the band will be trying out some new material, as they’ve got a record scheduled to come out in 2017. Sam Pace and the Gilded Grit come to Nietzsche’s on Thursday, June 16.
