Dirtybird presents: Ardalan and Sacha Robotti

[ELECTRONIC/DANCE] DJs Ardalan and Sacha Robotti will take the roof-top decks of Sky Bar this week for a dance party presented by Dirtybird Records. Ardalan will bring his thunderous bass-heavy EDM grooves to Buffalo straight from his home of Tehran, Iran. With a name like Robotti, Sacha Robotti was clearly born to be an electronic music producer. Robotti’s career has most recently been defined by his track “Tump Bumper” which featured Kevin Knapp and marked his addition to the Dirtybird roster.

Eliot Sumner

[POP] Eliot Sumner, formerly known as I Blame Coco, plays a version of new wave and synthpop with an indie rock infusion. 25 year old, the British singer is the daughter of the famous rock musician, Sting—close your eyes when you listen to her and you can hear it. Sumner began writing at the young age of 15 and by 17 signed a multi-record deal with Island records. Her new album, Information, touches on her gender neutrality and how she identifies herself.

Buffalo’s Brewhaha: A Taste for Craft Beer

Sure we love cheap, mass-made American beer—we are a drinking town with a sports problem, after all. But there’s no doubt that Buffalonians have developed a taste for craft beer in recent years. Frontrunners Flying Bison and Community Beer Works have since been joined by almost a dozen other breweries, and finding boutique beers and carefully selected imports at a WNY bar has never been easier. We doubt you need any encouragement, but if you’re looking to get your brew on, here are a few of our favorites.
