Honky Tonk Man
[VARIETY] In the swimming pool of American id, pro wrestling owns a sizable gallon count in the deep end, and yet somewhere even deeper is performance appearances by wrestlers of yore accompanied by a dwarf wrestler belonging to an updated landscape of misfit heroes. The Honky Tonk Man man himself is coming to Milkie’s on Friday, June 17 with his “Shake Rattle and Roll” show—and hour long performance that blends comedy, stories from the long road of professional wrestling, and interactions with the crowd.
Heather McDonald
[COMEDY] Many remember comedian, writer and actress, Heather McDonald as a frequent roundtable panelist on Chelsea Lately and a regular cast member on After Lately. Since the shows’ end, McDonald has penned the bestselling novel, You’ll Never Blue Ball In This Town Again, and debuted her first Showtime special, I Don’t Mean To Brag. The latter showcases McDonald’s stand-up prowess, which is shamelessly honest and combines motherhood with a lot of chardonnay.

They’ve been making waves since their quirky, synth-laden debut release, Tourist History, in 2011. Delta Rae
[BLUES] Comprised partially of three siblings and three college friends, Durham NC’s Delta Rae is a study in winning contrasts: male/female vocals and viewpoints; slick, modern production with a clear penchant for classic influences; the comfort and familiarity of the past with the uncertainty and anxiety of the future. With a vague musical resemblance to the classic Fleetwood Mac lineup, the co-ed six piece has generated a string of buzz-worthy singles from its pair of Warner Bros.

Patriotism Canceled for Lack Of Interest
A few weeks ago, WBEN announced a summer event designed to best separate its septuagenarian listenership from their hard-earned money. At the top of the bill were $250 improbably named “VIP” tickets that would enable well-to-do dupes attendees to meet Ann Coulter and Rudolph Giuliani while David Bellavia was on stage warming up the crowd. As recently as this past week, tickets were still available in the second row, indicting that in three weeks only a small number had been sold.
