If there is one thing we know about Tommy Lee it’s that he doesn’t have a reputation for failing to perform. But that’s just what happened last night when his band Mötley Crüe showed up for their scheduled performance at Buffalo’s First Niagara Center. An hour after doors opened, at 7:54pm last night, the infamous drummer sent out a tweet saying that he was sorry but he’d be unable to perform due to tendonitis.
Buffalo’s loss is the nation’s gain. Squeaky Wheel announced this morning that executive director Jax Deluca will be leaving the organization to join the National Endowment for the Arts (Washington, D.C) as the director of media arts. You can read the official NEA announcement here.
Graphic artist Jim Steranko may be most famous for creating Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., but his career has been far richer than that: In addition to numerous other comic book successes, he has done design work for major films such as Raiders of the Lost Ark and Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
Steranko is coming to the Buffalo Comicon this weekend, October 17-18.
