The Kerfufflle Before Christmas

[ROCK] The Kerfuffle Before Christmas, Alternative Buffalo’s annual holiday concert shindig, returns this year with a loaded lineup for a two day celebration at Buffalo RiverWorks. Night one, Wednesday, November 28, features Canadian indie rock band, Metric, as headliners. The band are on tour of their latest album, Art of Doubt, which was released earlier this fall.

Jason Mewes

[COMEDY] Half of the iconic duo, Jay and Silent Bob, comedian Jason Mewes comes to Buffalo to deliver his stand up show at Helium Comedy Club this Friday, November 30 and Saturday, December 3 for four shows. With a Jay and Silent Bob reboot set in motion (actual title: Jay and Silent Bob Get A Reboot), the actor, will hit the stage to talk about his “a-Mewes-ing” stories.

Horton's Holiday Hayride

[HOLIDAY] For the second year in a row, Reverend Horton Heat will bring his holiday-centric show to Buffalo. Dubbed the Holiday Hayride, this show features the psychobilly-superstar in a celebration of the holiday season. Support comes from Arizona-based surfy, honky tonk act Junior Brown, for this show at the Tralf Music Hall on Tuesday, December 4

Boy Erased

Just when it had begun to seem that years of climate change had made it safe to come out, there comes news to remind us that it still isn’t for some.

Tom Green

[COMEDY] Prankster, goofball, weirdo, call him what you’d like, but Tom Green is a funny guy. The Canadian comedian rose to prominence with his juvenile, low brow MTV show the Tom Green Show, but really turned heads when he did a serious documentary on his testicular cancer. In the years since his hit TV show, Green has hosted a handful of radio shows and podcasts, his own TV talk show, and a web series, but all along the way he’s stuck to his passion, stand up comedy.

Sam Cooper

[INDIE] Homegrown indie rock singer/songwriter Sam Cooper will perform at Babeville’s 9th Ward on Sunday, November 25. Expect to hear cuts from his upcoming album Careless Love.

Westside Gunn

[HIP HOP] In July, when he released his second album, Supreme Blientele, Pitchfork called Westside Gunn, an “ascendent Buffalo rapper.” It seems as though that ascension hasn’t plateaued yet as earlier this month, the 36-year-old rapper released his latest mixtape, Hitler Wears Hermes 6—his second mixtape of the year—to exceptional reviews. All of this and the brothers of Griselda Records, Gunn and Conway the Machine, haven’t even dropped their Shady Records debut yet.
