Have you been to the movies lately? Odds are you haven’t: The last few weeks have produced the lowest box office figures in two decades, according to industry reports. And that’s taking into consideration that late August tends to be a bad period for movie attendance to begin with, what with people heading back to school or trying to soak up as much vitamin D as they can before summer’s end.

[ROCK] Sunday Brunch is actually a band and not an eating event. But they’re just as… tasty? What I mean is they’ve certainly got some tasty rock and roll riffs to deliver, mostly from their latest album Eat Your Heart Out. They’ll be joined by Philly indie rockers Slop House and Buffalo indie rockers sheds at Milkie’s on Saturday, September 2.

Celebration of Nations

[CELEBRATION] Celebration of Nations, an exciting new festival of Indigenous arts, culture and tradition, will be held at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre in downtown St. Catharines, Ontario from Friday, September 8 to Sunday, September 10. The weekend gathering features diverse arts programs, including a list of local and national artists such as Buffy Sainte-Marie, Kaha:wi Dance Theatre, and The Ollivanders.
