Parsonsfield
[FOLK] Though they’re a five-piece band, sometimes they feel like a whole orchestra—an Appalachian bluegrass orchestra, that is. Hailing from western Massachusetts, the members of Parsonsfield show up with quite a collection of instruments—from banjos to mandolins, a pump organ, and of course guitars and drums—and they know how to use them.T heir latest album, 2016’s Blooming Through The Black was recorded in a warehouse in an industrial section of Farmington River in Collinsville, Connecticut and the result is a sprawling indie folk that reverberates with thick acoustic guitars and singer Chris Freeman’s sharp vocals. Catch Parsonsfield at Babeville’s 9th Ward this Sunday, February 11, with support from special guests The Observers.
