7th Annual Queen City Market
[HOLIDAY MARKET] There’s an easy way and a hard way to shop for the holidays. We all know the hard way: waiting until the last minute and rushing around at the height of holiday traffic to 10 different stores to find the right gift for everyone, and hoping your money isn’t going to some soul sucking mega-corporation that pays their employees $4 a week to produce the thing you just bought that might last until next Christmas with any luck. Then there’s the easy way: making a stop at the Queen City Market and picking out gifts from their huge variety of local artists. You feel better already just thinking about it, we can tell. Your blood pressure is lowering and you’ve just noticed that there’s more money in your wallet than you thought. Wow, such ease. The seventh annual edition of the Queen City Market will take place 11am to 5pm this Saturday, December 2 at Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum (453 Porter Avenue) and includes more than 50 vendors including craft artisans, vintage sellers, food folks, and more. Pick out holiday cards from Witty Gritty Paper Co., coffee from Public Espresso, jewelry from Interstellar and vintage clothing from Rust Belt Threads, and other stuff from the diverse lineup of sellers. Fuel up at food trucks including Amy’s Truck and Lloyd’s, and even making a non-perishable donation to the Food Bank of WNY. It’s the definition of a one-stop-shop, and it’s just an all around enjoyable experience.
