[POETRY] Something of a novel idea these days: take poetry readings out of cafés and institutions and put them in a bar, slightly off hours, change up the vibe of the whole thing. That’s what’s going down at the Mohawk Place this Saturday, instead of rock and roll there’ll be rockin’ poems from a pair of commuters from Massachusetts—Seth Landman and Ted Powers—joined by local talent Cheryl Quimba, coming fresh off her lovely new chapbook Scattered Trees Grow in Some Tundra, which may or may not derive inspiration from Buffalo December through March. Come at 6pm for drinks, poems at 7pm.
