[MARKET] It’s tough to tell what to expect from a vinyl record convention. Will all the vendors be hawking multiple copies of Let It Be and Thriller or will there be some actual variety? If you take a quick look at the list of genres that Vinyl Mania 2 sellers boast, you’ll quickly realize that this convention is the real deal. Of course there will be a heavy rock and roll presence, but everything from funk, to post-punk, indie rock, and drum & bass should be accounted for—as well as one listing that simply reads “WTF.” This time they’re hosting 36 dealer tables, including nine new dealers, across approximately 3,000 square feet inside of the Grand Ballroom at American Legion Post 205 on Delaware Avenue in Kenmore on Saturday, October 17. In addition to the thousands of records they’ll have for sale, expect to see some stereo equipment, memorabilia, and even CDs (if that’s your thing, weirdo). A portion of the proceeds will go to the SPCA. Get there early (5pm) and for an extra few bucks you can browse the selection before the masses. General admission is $4 and begins at 6pm.
